Someone came and dug up my front lawn a couple of weeks ago.
But I don’t mind!
It meant I could be connected to high-speed fibre optic cable.
It means fast broad band and wi fi at home.
And it’s changed my life.
You see, before lock down, I did all my mentoring face to face.
A guaranteed minimum of 4 hours either in Nottingham, or I’d come 150 miles towards you.
But when lockdown started, and we couldn’t meet face to face, I had to move to Zoom, or Facetime, or WhatsApp.
Which sounds good in theory, except my wi fi was the slowest in the world, and the connection kept dropping.
To be honest, it wasn’t ok, it was embarrassing.
But one GREAT thing to come out of it was that I realised that rather than having a 4 hour mentoring session (sometimes it was longer), it’s often far more useful for my mentees to have a shorter initial meeting (say for 1 ½ hours or 2 hours) at which we get them started, and then allow them to use the rest of the time as they like, when they need it.
So that they can check in when they need help.
Or to ask a question.
Or to have help reviewing deals.
Or if they just want some encouragement and inspiration.
Whatever it may be.
Whatever they need.
Whenever they need it.
And that has worked really well.
Then I had a thought.
Now that lockdown is over, what if we had the best of both worlds?
What if we start with a shorter initial meeting face to face (either in Nottingham or I’ll come 150 miles towards you) and then whatever time is left over you can take on Zoom, or Facetime, or WhatsApp, as and when you need it?
I think it sounds like the perfect combination, and I’m really looking forward to using this combo to help my mentees succeed.
This is a much better way for me to mentor you in property.
If this sounds like the sort of thing you’d like to jump onto, and if you think having a mentor who has been in property for over 40 years (including over 20 years investing for myself) would be helpful, then please email me
And I’ll tell you how to get your mentoring booked up and we’ll get a date in the diary for our first meeting.
I’m very excited about hearing from you and meeting with you.

PS If you’d still like to do all 4 hours (remember, that’s a minimum time) by face to face, or all 4 hours online, that’s all good as well. I’ll be happy to do that if that’s what you want to do.
If you think this may be for you, or you’d like more information or want to ask questions, please email me:
